Date and Time: November 7th @ 9:00 AM
Location: San Diego County Board of Supervisors
A meeting to demand justice for the animals suffering in our county shelters — and for the countless cases of animal and horse cruelty the County has ignored.
This is our first time back since Penny — the emaciated horse from Artesian Road — died, a heartbreaking reminder that the Board of Supervisors has failed to protect animals and refuses to care about their welfare.
Great news! The public comment will be at the beginning of the meeting — so it will be a short session for activists, and everyone will have a chance to speak. We need a lot of people to attend — this is ALL HANDS ON DECK. The animals can’t speak — but we can, and we must.
Join us. Speak up. Be their voice.

Cows form close friendships with members of their herd and mourn when a loved one dies or when they’re separated from each other. A PETA exposé of the world’s largest leather processor—which has been linked to Coach—showed that workers brand calves on the face, beat cows and bulls, and shock them with electric prods.

Join me at Rally to Ban Rodeos in San Diego! Speakers, Music, Art 🌸 https://meetu.ps/e/PBc6M/xwPtH/i
It's time to rally against the San Diego rodeo. Despite the tragic death of a horse this year, the San Diego rodeo is scheduled to take place again in January 2026 - but we will not stay silent. We're gathering to raise our voices against the cruelty and exploitation of animals in the name of entertainment, and to stand for compassion, justice, and change. Join us.
There will be music, art, and an incredible lineup of speakers including local activists, attorneys, and political candidates.
Your presence matters! RSVP on Facebook, Meetup.com, or EventBrite, and invite all your friends. This is a family-friendly event and we would love to see you there.
